HISTORY
The “Tin Shed,” located in the heart of Colorado Christian's campus, serves as the home arena for our men's and women's basketball programs and volleyball. Equipped with three team locker rooms and an adjoining team room, the Tin Shed also serves as the program's primary practice facility.
The building also hosts coaches’ offices, an athletic trainer space, and an upstairs weight room overlooking the gym. During game days, concessions stands are available where soft drinks and a variety of snacks are sold.
Several upgrades have been installed including a resurfaced floor designed with a skyscraper outline on the east side of the court, referring to the location of downtown Denver, and a mountain outline referencing the beautiful Colorado mountains on the west side. A brand new state of the art Hudl camera system with 4k quality and AI capabilities has been installed which precisely follows the action of each play and keeps the ball in the frame at all times.
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
There are two parking lots on either side of the event center available on a first-come, first serve basis during games.
There is a designated area for team buses; please contact a staff member prior to the event for more information.
Security and local police officers are present at all home games for CCU.
EVENTS
In addition to Cougar athletic contests, the Tin Shed hosts numerous events throughout the year, including:
- Concerts and entertainment events
- Graduation and Commencement Ceremonies
- Chapel twice a week for all students
- External events including camps, clinics, and professional teams
