The home Yellow Jackets went up by five early in the game, but it was Colorado Christian in the driver's seat for most of the night. CCU's efficient and aggressive effort kept the blue and gold on top for more than 33 minutes, assuring an advantage on the boards and at the foul line. The Cougars collected 18 points from the charity stripe compared to five from the Jackets, totaled 38 points off turnovers (13 from BHSU), and scored 17 second chance points (BHSU scored nine).

Black Hills suffered from 29 turnovers Saturday night, thanks in part to a 19-steal showing by Colorado Christian.
Christina Whitelaw led all players with six steals and seven assists.
Â
Doing the most damage on offense was Christian's
Claire Paxton, who led CCU with 18 points after an impressive 7-for-10 effort from the field. Paxton also went 4-for-5 from the free throw line and totaled two assists, three steals, four boards and a block. Freshman
Ali Meyer brought down a game-best eight rebounds to spur Christian on to a 29-25 advantage on the glass.

A welcome return to Lakewood awaits the Cougars this week – they'll host Western New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands on the final home weekend of the 2014-15 regular season.
