In a weather shortened weekend, Colorado Christian took to the field Sunday afternoon to finish off their series with Metro State. It was not the Cougs day, as Metro went on to win the game by a final score of 17-2.
 
After a scoreless first inning, the Roadrunners got on the board first in the second inning as they scored one run to take the early lead. CCU fired back in the third inning and got the score tied up at one thanks to an RBI single off the bat of Dillon Mctague which scored Cooper Gray.
 
Metro took control of the game in the bottom of the third inning as they tallied four runs. They followed that up by scoring three more in the fifth inning, then dealt the final blow in the sixth inning as they scored nine runs to take a commanding 17-1 lead. The Cougars scored once more in the eighth inning, but it was not enough as they fell by a 17-2 final score.
 
The Cougs will return home for their final conference series of the year next weekend, as they will take on New Mexico Highlands at All Star Park in Lakewood. The series will begin on Friday May 5^th with first pitch set for 3PM MST.
