Despite a strong start in tonight's matchup at Dixie State, the Cougars were unable to come out with the win after the Trailblazers came back with fire to take the win. Colorado Christian lost by 14, 76-62.
HOW IT HAPPENED: After just a minute and a half into play the Cougars had a 6-0 lead to get the game going. They continued to play smart to finish with the lead at the end of the first quarter by 9, 21-12.
Not liking the looks of the first quarter, Dixie came back to take the lead. They held Colorado Christian to just 7 points in the second quarter and scored 21 to take the lead going into the locker rooms. The score at the half was 33-28.
The second half saw the teams playing close to even, and another comeback to tie up the game. Going into the final quarter the teams were tied up at 48's. Dixie continued to prevail offensively and made momentum changing shots. Colorado Christian was unable to stop the Trailblazers strong shooting and took the loss.

GAME LEADERS: Playing almost the entire game and leading the team in scoring was
Jordan Baer, who finished with 24 points. She was followed by
Sarah McGinley who tallied 12.
UP NEXT: The loss gives the team an overall record of 13-14 and an RMAC record of 11-10. Playing their last conference game of the year, the Cougars will travel down the road to Regis University on Friday, March 1st at 5pm.
