SALT LAKE CITY, UT- Colorado Christian headed out on the road for the first time in 2023 as they traveled to Utah to take on Westminster.  CCU fell in a back and forth affair as the Griffins took the victory 80-74. 

Makenna Bodette and Maggie Phipps led the charge offensively with 16 points apiece while Dasiya Jones chipped in 14. Maggie Hutka and Agnes Paul each pulled down four rebounds, and Jones and Hutka each dished out three assists.

The Cougars shot 50.8% from the field on 30-59 shooting. CCU had 14 points off turnovers to their opponents eight, while the bench scored 29 points to the Griffins 13. The visitors also had a slight edge in points in the paint with a 40-34 tally. In the end the Griffins pulled away in the final quarter and survived a late push to claim the win.
