PUEBLO, CO- The Cougars closed their three-game non-conference set against CSU Pueblo with a road contest on Sunday. The Thunderwolves took the contest on the day by a final score of 26-8. 

CSU Pueblo jumped ahead early and never looked back, taking a 15-0 lead after three innings. Aaron Morgan got his team on the board with a solo homer, and Sawyer Shepherd singled home another run. Luke Thompson came home on a fielder's choice as CCU started to rally in the fifth. 

The sixth inning was another productive one offensively, as Thompson picked up a sac fly, while Shepherd doubled home two more. Kade Carney notched an RBI single and Gavin Acosta walked with the bases loaded to bring the visitors up to eight runs. In the end, the home team had too much offense in a 26-8 victory. 

Colorado Christian will head to UCCS for another non-conference contest on February 27 with first pitch set for 2 p.m. MST.
