LAKELAND, FL- Colorado Christian continued play on Thursday as they took on Florida Southern College. The offense was improved but CCU would fall in the end 87-50.
A 7-0 run from the Mocs to start the game put the Cougars behind early, but they rallied back with a pair of
Elise Grosdidier layups and an
Addison Wragge jumper. A
Jordon Heckert jumper and three-pointer by Elise cut the deficit to 17-13 at the end of the first quarter.
Elise continued her strong night with a layup to start the second period as CCU drew within two at 17-15. Unfortunately, that was the closest the Cougars would get the rest of the contest as the Mocs began to pull away from there to take a 43-22 lead to halftime.
Hayley Luther and Heckert drilled jumpers to start the second half, while
Amaya Felix went on a 3-0 run with a basket and free throw. The hosts would take a 69-36 lead to the final quarter of play.
Ezra Simonich hit a three-pointer in the fourth while
