Paul Koss was named the school's full-time baseball coach on March 19, 2020. He was serving as the interim head coach for just over four months prior. He has been with the program since the 2017 season, serving as the squad's pitching coach before being elevated to the program's leader.
Paul Koss
The 2023 season included a second appearance at the RMAC Tournament, another exciting feat for the Cougars.

During a strange and chaotic 2021 season, he guided the Cougars to the school's first ever RMAC Tournament appearance.

Originally from California, Koss played baseball at Orange Lutheran High School, where he then went on to play at the University of Southern California.

After four years of playing at USC, he was selected in the 11th round of the 2007 draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played for the organization for four seasons, reaching the AA level. Koss recorded 20 saves and 140 strikeouts as a reliever in his four Minor League Baseball seasons. He was a single-A All-Star while playing in the California League in 2008.

In his playing career at USC, he was the closer for three years ending his career second all-time in career saves, single season saves, and appearances for the Trojans. This led to playing for the Chatham A’s in the Cape Cod league and earning a spot on the All-Star team in 2006 while also receiving Pitcher of The Year honors.

As a coach, Paul has been involved with various travel teams in California and two collegiate summer baseball teams.
