The best coach you’ve ever had…
The best coach I've had is Bob "Coach G" Gemignani, who was my coach when I was ages 11-13. He taught me the fundamentals of the game, taught me character lessons in times of adversity or hardship, and taught me how to truly have a blast playing the game of baseball.

Favorite moment in sport…
Hitting a three-run home run off the closer for Sterling High School to guarantee the first playoff victory in the history of my high school's baseball program

The best thing about baseball…
Baseball isn't just about who's bigger and stronger, but it's about who's smarter. You don't just have to have better athletic ability, but a sharper mind.

How would you like to be remembered when your college athletic career is over?
More important than being a great, or even a good baseball player, I want to be remembered as an athlete that glorified God in everything he did. One phrase that is really important to me is "Soli Deo Gloria" which means "To God alone be the glory". I want to be remembered as an athlete that lived that out.

Who has been most influential in your spiritual, academic, or athletic development as a student-athlete?
The head coach, for my junior and senior years, Justin Ross, is one of the best coaches I've ever had and one of the best men I've ever known. In addition to knowing an incredible amount about the game of baseball (played at the University of Tennessee and was drafted into the Angels organization), he is a great Godly man. Once a week he facilitated an optional team Bible study, which he frequently led. He always stressed the importance of the priority of school. He is the one who taught me, and more importantly showed me, that baseball isn't about glorifying ourselves, but about glorifying our Heavenly Father.
