Biography

High school athletic experience, accomplishments, awards, club/leagues, etc.
I have played volleyball since the 8th grade, making the team up until my junior year in high school. I've played on multiple league teams in and out of the seasons because I simply cannot pass up any given opportunities to play.

Service to the community…
Most of my service opportunities are rooted in my church, from vacation bible school leadership to leading worship on Sunday mornings, for youth group, and other small groups.

Favorite athlete…
Nene

The best coach you’ve ever had…
The best coach I've ever had was the leader of my sophomore and JV teams. She strove to be the best person she could be - not only to be the best coach and teacher, but the best mentor, as well. She always made an effort to establish a connection and friendship with every teammate while providing a great example of dedication and encouragement.

Favorite moment in sport- yours or any other…
My absolute favorite moment occurred in a game against a rival high school team. The odds were neither for nor against us - the score was tied up and slowly climbing by one point at a time, as each team continued to push the limits of the other. The bleachers were packed on both sides with high schoolers, jumping and yelling with excitement.
In the end, my team took the win with an incredible recovery from the previous game - it's an extraordinary feeling that I will always remember.

Best thing about volleyball…
The best thing about my sport is the effort it takes from the whole team - it requires unity, cooperation, and communication, and I believe that those qualities are valuable on and off the court. They help to create relationships, facilitate difficult situations, and encourage people to make the best out of any win or loss.

How would you like to be remembered when your college athletic career is over?
Once my college athletic career comes to an end, I'd like to be remembered for having a servant's heart and for making the best out of any given situation. I hope to set a good example for those who are watching, older or younger, and display the love of God to all that I come in contact with. I crave for God to use me in extraordinary ways with the willing heart that I have offered Him.

Who has been most influential in your spiritual, academic, or athletic development as a student-athlete?
My dad has been the most influential figure in my life, through my spiritual, academic, and athletic development, as he has been the best encourager and motivator that I could ask for. He has run the extra mile for me, in more ways than one, by mentoring me, uplifting me, and teaching me to recognize the glory of God in everything we do. I couldn't ask for a better role model in my life to follow.
