Beyond the Jersey
  • INSPIRATIONAL PERSON OR QUOTE & WHY | “"The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." - Phil Jackson “This quote is a great embodiment of a successful team, every person plays a role on their team, whether it be on or off the track, field, or court. However, we as individuals could not accomplish all that we can on our own, it takes the support of a village.”
  • FAVORITE CCU MOMENT & WHY | “Watching cross-country nationals in-person in Seattle as the team got third place in 2022. It was amazing to see the fruits of the labor and work that the team had put in all summer and fall.”
  • OUTSIDE OF SPORTS | “I enjoy going on road trips and exploring new places. Since I came to college earlier this year, I have put over 12,000 miles on my car, a lot of that coming from driving to support teammates or exploring other parts of Colorado.”
  • WHY DID YOU CHOOSE CCU | “I chose CCU because of its focus on Christ. I was impressed with the dedication to building a Christ-centered community through academics, athletics, and social events. When I visited CCU, it felt like a perfect fit for me, and I have not had any regrets.”
  • FAMILY TIES | “I am the son of Kip and Jennifer Edmonds and the older brother of Lydia and Jenica Edmonds. They may not be famous athletes or professionals, but I wouldn't trade their amazing support for anything.”
  • POST COLLEGE DREAMS | “I am striving to become a social studies teacher and cross country/track coach at the high school level.”
