The best coach you’ve ever had…
The best coach I ever had was my mom when I was younger. She was the first person to teach me both volleyball and basketball. She coached all of my teams during elementary and middle school. Without her, I would not have the passion for volleyball that I have today.
Favorite moment in sport- yours or any other…
Tim Tebow's 2011 80-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas that beat the Steelers in overtime 29-23- I'll never forget that day.
Best thing about volleyball…
The best thing about volleyball is that it is truly a team sport. You cannot win a game by yourself, but you can play off the energy and enthusiasm of your teammates. Some of the best plays happen when everyone is giving 110% and pull off the miraculous feat of returning the ball to your opponent when it looked impossible. I love playing on a team that has the same passion and energy that I do because we can accomplish so much together.
How would you like to be remembered when your college athletic career is over?
I would like to be remembered as always giving 110% of my effort and ability. I want to be remembered for always giving the glory to God and being a light for Him both on and off the court, win or lose.
Who has been most influential in your spiritual, academic, or athletic development as a student-athlete?
My mom has always been such an inspirational and influential person in my life. She has always encouraged me and has been a role model in my life. She has helped me spiritually, academically, and in my athletic development by always being there for me and pushing me to always do my best. She demonstrates such strength and determination which I strive to achieve also. I would not be who I am today without her.
