2019: Started every game at second base ... Recorded a .260 batting average ... Second on the team with 27 RBI ...Fifth with 23 runs scored ... Hit walk-off home run against Regis (May 3) which concluded a 3-for-3 day at the plate 

2018: Started 51 of the 52 games he played ... Had the fourth best batting average on the team (.331) while recording a .410 on-base percentage ... His 59 hits were second on the squad as were his 21 walks 

ABILENE CHRISTIAN (2016): Earned a spot on the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom. … Appeared in 21 games with 16 starts, hitting .192 with six RBI. … Had two RBI in a March 11 game at Oklahoma State. … Went 3 for  3 in May 17 game at Dallas Baptist and had two more RBI in May 20 game at Northwestern State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hays was a four-year standout in baseball and basketball at Lubbock Christian HS. … Hit .315 with 20 RBI during summer 2014 while playing for Lubbock Baseball Academy.
 
PERSONAL: Younger brother is teammate Heath ... His father, Shanon, is the former men's basketball coach and director of athletics at Abilene Christian University and also the head softball coach at Oklahoma Christian, Lubbock Christian (where he won an NAIA national championship) and Texas Tech. … His mother, Tina, was an all-state basketball player at Lubbock Christian High School and later played at LCU, and his grandfather, Larry Hays, is the winningest coach in Texas Tech baseball history
