Why is playing your sport at CCU important to you? How is it different from your other competitive experiences?
It's important to me because I am representing Christ. To some degree I am representing myself and the school, but ultimately it is for the glory of God. I want to be a witness for Christ with tennis because He has given me that talent.
It's different because during my high school and junior career I wasn't always playing with believers, and now the focus is definitely more on the Lord.
What kind of legacy are you hoping to leave at CCU after your career is over?
I'm hoping to have impacted the tennis program to some degree. Hopefully, that I will have helped others to gain interest in CCU Tennis. But most of all, I really just want to have set an example of how to play for Christ.
What are you looking forward to most in your first year at CCU?
I'm looking forward to growing in my relationship with God. Being poured into by my teammates, professors, and friends, and myself pouring back into them. The Lord brought me here for a reason and I'm very excited to see what that is.
