CCU men's soccer comes up short against Westminster College (1-0) at home in Lakewood, CO. This match was a heated one for blue and gold. Westminster was on the hunt for their first win of the season, while Colo. Christian was working for their second.

In this match, the Griffins had 15 fouls, the Cougars had 12, and there were four yellow cards total. Despite their efforts to get control of the ball, Christian let one get by. Fifty minutes in, Westminster's #7 Jonnathan Rodriguez had a break away in the goal box, and tapped the ball into the right side of the net.

Calvin Beck led CCU in shots and shots on goal with 5-2 for the day, and Sam Walberer was runner-up with 3-1. The Cougars totaled 14 shots, eight in the first period and six in the second. CCU Freshman, #22 Kevin Luther was in goal with six saves against the Griffin's seven attempts to score.

Men's Soccer fought the entire 90 minutes, and never let down.  The Cougars will have another opportunity to get their second win on Oct. 16^th vs. Adams State University @ Adams. Kick-off is set for 3:00 PM.
