Colorado Christian traveled down to Pueblo to take on the Thunderwolves in their final game of the season, but came up just short as they were defeated by a final score of 3-1.
Â
The scoring got underway late in the first when CSU-Pueblo snuck one past junior keeper
Brandon Eide. Heading into halftime the score remained 1-0 in favor of the Thunderwolves. Both defenses held tight at the start of the second half and kept the offenses at bay until the 70
th minute when CCU netted the equalizer. Sophomore
Collin Fligge scored his first goal of the year which was assisted by freshman
Tyler Beasinger and freshman
Arthur Beck. Unfortunately CSU-Pueblo was not to be denied on the night as they quickly answered with two more goals and shut CCU down the rest of the way.
Â
The loss finishes the schedule for the Cougars as they finish with a 1-16-1 record on the year. Despite the record, the team showed improvements throughout the year. The young squad will lose only three seniors, so the future is bright as they look ahead to the 2016 season. Â
