Â
CCU had a strong start against Westminster College on Friday night going 14-8 in the first quarter. It was a solid effort by the Cougars on defense having four steals on Westminster's 10 turnovers. This allowed blue and gold almost double the points on offense.Â
Â
The second quarter was the same solid play from CCU as they continued to dominate the court. It was back and forth until about half way through at six minutes the teams were tied 15-15, where the Cougs ran away with points. They went into the locker room 28-17. Â This quarter is what set the pace for the rest of the competition.
