Though Saturday was a day CCU Men's Soccer has been looking forward to for months, it is now a day the squad would like quickly to forget. Playing in their 2015 season opener at Lynn University, the Colorado Christian squad found themselves sorely out-matched against a team that won an NCAA title less than a year ago.Â
It didn't take the nation's top-ranked team long to take the lead on the Cougars. At 5:26, the Fighting Knights got the first of ten goals they would score on CCU - drilling a shot past Christian keeper Brandon Eide. Eide would face 22 shots - 12 of them on goal - in the 10-0 loss. Colorado Christian managed just four shots, two on goal (Joe Wilkes and Adam Hern).
The Cougars will remain in Florida through the weekend, set to play at Palm Beach Atlantic Monday at 5PM MST.Â
