The scoring got under way early into game one as Rogers State pushed four runs across in the second inning, and added another run in the third to give them a 5-0 lead after three innings of play. CCU got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning thanks to an RBI from Chance Richardson. The two teams exchanged runs to finish out the last couple of innings which sealed the final score in favor of the Hillcats 7-2.
