It was a long night for Colorado Christian down in Florida as they took on Palm Beach Atlantic University. PBA scored early and often and was able to beat the Cougars by a final score of 18-3. With the loss, the Cougs record falls to 1-2 on the year.
Â
The Sailfish began their scoring onslaught early on as they got to CCU starter
Daniel Bednarski for six runs in the bottom half of the first inning before an out was recorded. Bednarski was relieved by
Evan Fink who went three innings allowing one run on four hits striking out three. The offensive firepower coming from PBA was too much to handle, as they went on to score in every inning with the exception of two in the game.
Â
Offensively, the Cougars were led by
Branden Amenta and
Tyler Pollett. Amenta had two hits in the game going 2-4. Pollett also finished 2-4 and had the lone CCU extra base hit when he ripped an RBI double to drive in the first run for the team in the second inning.

Colorado Christian will be back in action on Tuesday as they will face off against Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. First pitch is scheduled for 4PM MST.
