Colorado Christian squared off with Regis on Sunday afternoon for the final game of their four game series. It was a great comeback win for the team, as they defeated Regis by a final score of 14-6 in ten innings. They trailed by as many as four in the game, but was able to tie up the game in the 9
th inning which sent it to extra innings. In the extra frame, CCU exploded for eight runs which sealed the victory for them in the final game of the series.

CCU briefly took the lead after the top half of the first inning 1-0 on a sacrifice fly off the bat of
Austin Atkerson. Regis answered in the bottom of the first with four runs of their own to take the 4-1 lead. Atkerson collected his second RBI of the game on a groundout in the third inning which cut the lead for the Rangers down to just two runs. Regis scored a single run in in the fifth and sixth innings which pushed the lead out to 6-2. From that point on it was all CCU as they scored one in the 7
th, two in the 8
th, one in the 9
th and eight in the 10
th. The 12 unanswered runs for the Cougars gives them the 14-6 victory over Regis, and allows them to salvage the final game of the series.

Colorado Christian had a breakout offensive game after being stifled in the first three games. The team combined for 16 hits and 14 runs in the game.
Ben Gooch had his best game of the year as he finished 3-6 with a homerun, five RBI and two runs scored.
Brandon Hesselberg was a catalyst for the team as the leadoff hitter as he went 2-3 with two walks and four runs scored.
Weston Wiederhold also was a force to be reckoned with as he went 3-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. The other Cougar who finished with a multi-hit effort in the game was
Branden Amenta who also went 3-6 and scored two runs.
Jack Nelson got the scoring started in the final inning for the Cougs, as his RBI single gave them a 7-6 lead, and started a huge rally for the team.

The win improves the Cougars record to 9-28 overall and 4-20 in conference play. The team will finally be back at home next weekend as they will be facing off against New Mexico Highlands University. The series will be from April 15
th-17
th at All Star Park in Lakewood, CO. First pitch for the game on Friday will be at 12PM MST. Â Â
