RMAC Volleyball Opening Weekend

The Cougars will be opening conference play on their home court at the CCU Event Center in Lakewood, CO. Friday night's opponent is Colorado State University Pueblo who is 2-7 overall this season.
 
The Thunderwolves finished 11-16 in 2015, clenching the eighth seed in the 2015 RMAC Tournament. They were pushed out by #1 Colorado School of Mines in the quarterfinals. Pueblo was ranked eighth in the 2016 RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, and CCU one back at nine. Last season Christian went 2-0 against CSU-Pueblo. This preseason both CCU and CSUP competed against Texas A&M-Commerce. The Wolves lost in four sets, and the Cougs won in four.
 
            ***Friday night's game will begin at 6:00 PM, and after the game there will be a chance to get a CCU Volleyball poster signed by the players.
 
On Saturday, Colo. Christian will play New Mexico Highlands University. The Cowgirls went 3-1 in the South Central Classic this preseason. In 2015 Highlands finished 7-21 putting them in the 15 spot. They were voted at #15 this season in the 2016 RMAC Coaches' Poll. Colorado Christian beat N.M. Highlands last season in four.
 
            ***Saturday's game will start at 5:00 PM and there will be a BLOCK Party!  CCU Volleyball will be serving Ice Cream Sandwiches to all fans after the game that want to stay around and get to know the Cougs!
