Hitting the road for their first game this season, Women's Basketball traveled to Arkansas and played the Hilltoppers of St. Edwards University. After a low scoring game, the Cougars lost by six with a final score of 41-47.
At the half, the Cougars trailed by three and were unable to take the lead and hold on to it coming in to the second half.
What is unique about this game is that almost exactly a year ago today, on November 11
th 2016, the Cougars battled the Hilltoppers and just like tonight, lost by six.
Leading the Cougars in points was senior
Alex Nelson with thirteen. Junior
Jordan Baer also had an impressive defensive play with eleven rebounds. Although the Cougars had a low shooting percentage, they did go 100% from the charity stripe going 8-8.
The Cougars have one more game on the road this weekend before returning home, playing the University of Arkansas Fort Smith on November 11
th, at 2:00pm.
