Cougar Men's Basketball lost 89-60 against Regis University on Saturday night; this dropped Colorado Christian to the seventh spot in the conference at 9-8.
Christian had a decent first half going into the locker room down six points 33-27. They were shooting about 38% compared to Regis' 40%, there were just a few made threes that spread the gap for the Rangers. It was in the second half that the Cougs were turned upside down.
A complete letdown by Christian from outside, and a complete domination by Regis from outside caused a huge point spread in a short amount of time in the second half. The Cougs went 0-9 from three as the Rangers banked 10-17. RU caught fire as the Cougars dwindled down to nothing. Head Coach
Kevin Lubbers threw his bench into the game to see if a spark could ignite, but the Rangers were too much.
Dimitri Saliba scored 21 points with seven rebounds, and
Ty McGee had 16 points and eight rebounds.
Men's Basketball will be playing Colorado School of Mines on February 11
th at 3:00 PM.
