Colorado Christian Softball swept day one vs Fort Lewis College. CCU won the first game 13-4, and the second 6-2. CCU is 6-1 in conference play, and 15-7 overall this season.

It was a great start to the day with CCU winning game one vs Fort Lewis College 13-4. The Cougars held the Skyhawks to only four hits, and starting pitcher
Kelsea Sweeney (7-0) led blue and gold with eight strikeouts. FLC struck out two times in the first, three times in the second, once in the third, and two more times in the fifth. Fort Lewis was completely stationary at the plate until the fourth and fifth innings when they were able to score four runs total.

Sarah Probasco took the mound for Sweeney at the top of the sixth frame and successfully closed the game striking out one Skyhawk, and causing two ground outs by Fort Lewis. The game ended from run rule in the bottom of the sixth.

CCU dominated in hitting once again this season as they scored three runs in the first, two in the second and third innings, and then three runs in the fifth and sixth. CCU shortstop,
Stephanie Day had two home runs, and went 3-5 with two runs and six RBIs.
Hanna Farmer started the game off with a home run, and ended going 2-4, with four runs and three RBIs.
Baylee Johnson had three RBIs, hitting 2-3, and
Shelbie Day went 2-3 with two runs.
Letty Valenzuela had an RBI hitting 2-4, and scoring one run.

Colorado Christian had all the momentum going into the second game.
Sarah Probasco started for the Cougars on the mound (2-3), and had three strikeouts, allowing only two hits and two runs in four innings.
Kelsea Sweeney came back in for game two to close and struck out four, allowing only two hits and no runs.

Leading the Cougs offensively was once again
Stephanie Day who went 2-4 with two RBI's from a double down the left field line in the fourth, and she scored one run.
Jennie Winston also doubled to left field, getting two RBI's. Winston hit 1-2 with one run. CCU's third baseman
Letty Valenzuela went 3-4 with one run.

Christian scored three runs in the second, one in the third, and two more in the fourth. They had 11 hits and left eight on base. Blue and gold defeated the Skyhawks 6-2.

CCU Softball will be back at Lakewood Park on Sunday, March 5
th for another double header vs Fort Lewis College. The first pitch is at 11:00 AM MST.
