The Cougars finished up their four game series with Colorado Mesa on Sunday afternoon, as they saw the Mavericks complete the series sweep as they beat CCU by a final score of 10-2.

Colorado Mesa continued to score at will, as they scored in each of the first five innings of the game.
Brandon Hesselberg got the Cougs on the board in the third inning, as his RBI single drove in
Cooper Gray. However, the Mavericks kept the pressure on, and refused to let CCU back into the game.

After five innings of play, the Mavericks led by a score of 8-1. CMU added two more runs in the seventh inning to lead 10-1. Christian scored their second and final run in the game in the ninth inning when
Mikale Doherty doubled down the left field line which allowed
Sam Gallegos to score.

Brandon Hesselberg finished the game 2-5 with one RBI.
Jerry Gallegos and
Sam Gallegos both went 2-4 in the game.
Cooper Gray finished 1-2 while also stealing a base and was able to draw two walks.

Colorado Christian will have next weekend off, as their next game action is not until the middle of March. They will be facing off against Regis University beginning on March 17
th. It will be the Cougars home opener, as they are set to play in Lakewood at All Star Park. First pitch is scheduled for 2PM MST.
