CCU Men's Basketball defeated Crowley's Ridge College 97-74 in the first round of the NCCAA Central Regional Tournament. Central Christin College located in McPherson, Kansas was designated the host school of the regional which consist of an eight team bracket. CCU was named the first seed, followed by Dallas Baptist, Central Baptist, SW Christian, Mid-America, Central Christian, Grace University, and Crowley's Ridge.

The Game
Christian played a good game shooting 44% from the field, 34% three, and 83% from the line. CRC went 42% from downtown, but didn't create enough opportunities to score and gave up the ball too much. The Cougs capitalized with 19 second chance points and 15 more off Crowley's turnovers.

CCU's bench showed up and scored a total of 25 points in the game.
Jeremiah Hanson had ten points and
Ty Neff scored seven. Scoring big for the Cougs was
Brett Brady with 20 points and
Andre Lane who went 6-13 FG, 5-11 3FG with 17 points.
Ty McGee scored 13 points and had seven rebounds, and CCU senior
Jacob Taylor had his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Blue and gold grabbed 11 more rebounds than Crowley's 53-42.

Coach Lubbers put it simply "We played fine. I wasn't thrilled with anything in particular, but we did play good enough to win."

What's Next?
This win puts CCU in one of two semifinal games on Friday, March 10
th. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM MST. The Cougs will be playing the winner of #4 SW Christian vs #5 Mid-America.
