CCU Women's Basketball faced-off against the #1 team in the RMAC, Colorado State University Pueblo.  The Cougars were defeated by the defending RMAC champs 69-44 on Tuesday night.   
 
Notable Stats:

• CCU starters: Sarah McGinley, Haley Shaner, Jordan Baer, Madison Price, & Savannah Cox
• Christian had 16 turnovers compared to Pueblo's nine
• CCU had a higher free throw percentage of 63% (5-8) compared to CSUP's 57% (4-7)
• The Thunderwolves shot 50% (29-58) from the field, while the Cougs shot 35% (18-52)
• Pueblo almost doubled the Cougs percentage from downtown shooting 39% (7-18) and CCU 21% (3-14)
• CCU had 14 points in the paint and Pueblo totaled 40

 
CCU Leaders:

• CCU freshman Sarah McGinley (4-7) and CCU senior Haley Shaner (4-10) tied with eight points high for blue and gold. 
• Haley Shaner also led in rebounds with six.
• Laurel Tomlinson led in assists with three

 
The Lady Cougs are now 5-12 overall and 3-9 in the RMAC.  Their next game will be on their home court in Lakewood, CO on Saturday Jan. 20^th vs New Mexico Highlands University.
