Road No More

DENVER – The Cougars will be looking forward to closing the season with a pair of home games.

On Sunday afternoon the Colorado Christian men's soccer squad closed out their road schedule with a 6-0 setback at Regis.

HOW IT HAPPENED: After playing a nearly scoreless first half, the home team scored three goals in a six minute span late in the frame. Ethan Wilson scored the first goal in the 36th minute then Ollie Haines made the score 2-0 in the 37th minute after receiving a through ball from Parker Klein.

Haines notched his second goal of the moments later when he found the back of the net in the 42nd minute.

The second 45 minutes played out similarly to opening stanza. Scoreless until the late stages, Regis scored the final three goals of the game in the last 13 minutes. Joe Mansfield scored in the 77th minute then Jake Brown scored the Rangers fifth goals. Completing the scoring was Joel Migliaccio with a net-finder in the final minute.  

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

- Of Colorado Christian's four shots, three of them were on frame
- Will Ford played 81 minutes in front of the cage with nine saves
- Zach Roberts played the final nine minutes; making one save

UP NEXT: The Cougars return home on Thursday to close out their home slate with the first of two RMAC games. Colorado Christian hosts DSU Metro at 1:30 p.m.
