The CCU Women's Basketball team lost in their second meeting with Black Hills State University this season by a score of 58-80, splitting the series after defeating the Yellowjackets at CCU in early December 74-68.
The Cougars slow start in the first quarter, shooting just 44.9% from the field, and turning the ball over 17 times throughout the course of the game were all part of the equation that led to the teams 6
th straight defeat.
Jordan Baer led the Cougars in points (14) and rebounds (7) in the game, her fourth straight game doing so, and her eighth time this season.
Haley Shaner added 12 points and three steals in the game, and Maddison Price shot perfectly against the Yellowjackets, going 4-4 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line to get to her 10 points.
The loss drops the Cougars to 6-17 overall (4-14 RMAC) on the season. They will be back on campus on Friday, February 16
th, to take on the Adams State Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m.
