CCU Women's Basketball fell to Colorado School of Mines 60-44 on Tuesday night.  Despite the loss, the Cougars played one of their best quarters all season in the game.

It was a game of streaks for the Cougs.  They were hot and cold, high and low.  The first quarter was slow, ending with an eight point lead for Mines 16-8.  But the second quarter was fast-paced for the Cougs and one of the best quarters all year.  They outscored the Orediggers 19-13.  It started with an 11-point deficit 21-10.  With eight minutes left in the quarter the Lady Cougs started driving to the hoop and scoring points.  They went on a ten-point run with only four minutes left in the game.  CCU was able to close the gap 29-27 CSM.

But the third quarter had a five-turnover streak for the Cougs that put them in the hole again.  CCU fought hard, and came close in the fourth quarter only down by five points 43-38 with a little under nine minutes, but could not overcome the Orediggers as they lost 60-44.
