CCU men and women's tennis is well into their spring season having already faced their three RMAC opponents Colorado Mesa, Metro State, and CSU-Pueblo. Both teams fell to Mesa and Metro 0-9, but each grabbed a win vs the Thunderwolves of CSU-Pueblo.
For the women, CCU junior
Taylor Westrom at the no. 4 singles defeated Pueblo's Sarah Megilligan in a close match 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4). For the men, and also at the no. 4 singles, junior
Barrett Cooper fell hard to opponent Steven Alcala 0-6, but then fought his way back to win the match 6-4 and 1-0 (10-8). See the Cougars close matches with Pueblo below:

CCU is still looking for their first win of the season as they head into a series of matches in Kansas and Texas these next two weeks. The Cougars will face-off against opponents like Hesston, Bethel, Central Christian, Kansas Wesleyan, Hastings, Texas Lutheran, LeTourneau, Midland, and Howard Payne.
