LAKEWOOD, CO – Not the ideal way Colorado Christian wanted to start 2019.
The initial contest of the New Year was positive for CSU-Pueblo as they posted a 102-62 win on Friday evening against the Cougars.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The ThunderWolves were proficient from the tip in jumping out to a big lead and never looking back.
The visitors raced out to a 35-12 lead as they hit six of their first eight three-pointers. They closed the half by hitting 61.1 percent (22-for-36) of their field goal attempts in notching a 53-21 lead.
CSU-Pueblo continued their strong shooting in the final 20 minutes as they connected on 20 of their 38 shots (52.6 percent). They never let the Cougars within 28 points of the lead.
