NAMPA, ID – In the second game of the Fairfield Inn Tournament, Colorado Christian faced off against Central Washington.
The Cougars got off to a hot start, leading at the end of the first quarter, but a slow second quarter fell the Cougars as Central Washington overtook them and won 72-45.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Cougars started off the game hot, as they took the lead early and were up by as many as five points in the first quarter.
Central Washington pulled away in the second quarter, going on a 10-0 run to end the half.
Colorado Christian bounced back in the third quarter, scoring 15 points and holding Central Washington to only 17 points.
Heading into the fourth quarter the Cougars were looking to rebound and get back in the game but the 20 point lead proved to be too much.
COUGAR LEADERS: Brookelyn Hurlbut led the team with 14 points, Marie Tsoungui and Sacha Griffin both had 13 points. Tsoungui had six rebounds for the team. Lourdes Gonzalez had three assists for the Cougars.
