Season Ends in Tough Loss to #16 Colorado School of Mines

GOLDEN, CO – The last game of the season for Colorado Christian was against Colorado School of Mines on Sunday.

The one loss Orediggers showed why they are one of the best teams in the RMAC with four goals, two in each period for the 4-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Colorado School of Mines scored early and often, with a goal in the first minute of play. They scored once more in the 25th minute to head into the half up 2-0 with 21 shots.

 Colorado School of Mines scored two more times in the second period, with a goal in the 84th and 86th minute.

The Cougars only had two shots on goal, one in each half.

COUGAR LEADERS: Saige Stock and Sarah Butler both had two shots. Sophie Kern, Dakoda Martinez, Adrianna Todd, and Sarah Feller all had one shot; with Feller and Todd recording both shots on goal.

STATS FROM THE GAME:

  •         34 shots is the most an opponent has had against the Cougars since 2013 when MSU Denver had 35 shots.
  •         12 saves is a season high for Ireland VanDyke
