LAKEWOOD, CO - Back at home, Colorado Christian went up against the Westminster Griffins.

The Cougars could not keep up with the Griffins and lost 66-44.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The high scoring Griffins went out and got 21 points in the first quarter to take a commanding lead into the second quarter.

An impressive second quarter defensively, both teams only scored 19 combined points. Going into the half, Westminster had an 11 point lead.

Coming out of the half, the Cougars came alive on offense, scoring 18 points in the quarter in an impressive comeback attempt. Unfortunately Westminster also was on fire on offense and scored 20 points in the quarter.

The Cougars couldn't keep up in the fourth, scoring only six and falling by a final of 66-44.

COUGAR LEADERS: Lourdes Gonzalez led the team with 16 points, Marie Tsounguie had nine rebounds and Sam Nunez contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
