LAKEWOOD, CO - #10 Texas A&M Commerce took the victory by nine points against the Cougars with a final score of 74-83.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Colorado Christian came out strong and fast. They held their own and kept a lead 16-12 in the first four minutes of the game.
Jordyn Brown,
Mia Guest,
Agnes Paul,
Haley Hanson and
Sydney Daniels were all able to showcase their talent by leading the team's stats.
Brown had over a 71 percent three-point shooting average. Brown led the team with 21 points. Closely following is Paul with 14 points.
Coming into the second half, Colorado Christian did not back down and were only down by four points.
Freshman, Guest, made two three-point shots out of the three she attempted in the fourth quarter. Guest was another leading Cougar with seven points.
In the fourth quarter, the Cougars were down by three points to a nationally ranked team. It was a tight competition as they battled the lead all game.
Returning players,
Lourdes Gonzalez and
Christen Curry displayed their defensive abilities as they were consistent play makers.
Hanson registered nine points, notching two three-pointers in the last few seconds of the game.
