COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Colorado Christian Track and Field headed south to Colorado Springs to take part in the Colorado Running Company Invitational hosted by UCCS on Saturday.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Hannah George and Elizabeth Gueck competed in the 60m, posting times of 7.91 and 8.61 respectively. The Cougars saw three runners take place in the 200m event. Callie Ketner ran it in 31.3 followed by Elizabeth Mattson with a 31.43. Kenzie Hartwig closed out the team's runners with a time of 33.35.
Tara Smoker won her heat and took ninth in the 400m with a time of 1:01.02. Jordyn Gutridge and Aislinn Warmka put up times of 1:05.85 and 1:07.64 respectively. Sarah Hamlin took ninth in the 1 mile with a mark of 6:00.41. Ashley VIl took part in the long jump, posting a jump of 4.75m.
MEN'S RECAP
Zach Le competed in the 60m, putting up a time of 7.33 seconds. Jacob Marker ran the 400m, finishing in a time of 54.73. Aidan Day had a strong run in the 1 mile, taking fourth with a time of 4:32.92. Oliver Wyatt finished the mile in 5:07.71. Le also competed in the long jump, finishing with a mark of 6:02m.
UP NEXT- The Cougars will travel to UCCS again January 28-29 to compete in the Colorado Running Company Mountain Lion Open.
