COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Colorado Christian headed south to take on UCCS in the season's final game. A strong Mountain Lions team took control and claimed victory 6-0 over the Cougars to close the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED- UCCS struck quickly, scoring in the sixth minute to grab a 1-0 lead. Alaina Kregel shot on goal but the strike was saved by the keeper. A strong defensive effort from the Cougars saw them repel many attacks in the first half as things went to the break at 1-0 UCCS.
Determined to stretch the lead, the Mountain Lions wasted little time scoring in the second period, striking in the 45th and 49th minute for a 3-0 advantage. Capri Dewing got off a shot that was saved, and UCCS tacked on a fourth in the 56th. Colorado Christian battled but a pair of late goals from the Mountain Lions saw them take the win by a score of 6-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

- Fouls were even, with seven charged to the Cougars and six to the Mountain Lions

The Cougars close their season with a 3-14 overall record on the year.
