LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference list on Thursday, and Colorado Christian had four players receive honors. Libby Goodman secured first-team all conference with an excellent season at outside hitter that saw her pace the RMAC in kills. Izzy Jones and Lilly Woods earned Second Team All-Conference while Renee Phillips snagged an Honorable Mention after a strong freshman season.
Goodman was at the heart of the Cougars attack all year, leading the conference in kills with 356 and a 3.79 average kills per set. A .259 attack percentage led Goodman to one of the better seasons a hitter at CCU has ever had as she paced the team and conference in attacking. For her incredible efforts, Libby Goodman has been named First Team All-Conference.
Jones was an excellent facilitator all year from her setter position, dishing out 932 assists for an average of 9.91 per set. The two-time RMAC setter of the week was instrumental in all the offense did, placing pin-point sets and running efficient plays all season. For her strong play, Izzy Jones has been named Second Team All-Conference.
Woods improved upon her honorable mention from her freshman season with an even better sophomore campaign. The middle hitter from Watertown, South Dakota racked up 210 kills with an effective .313 attack percentage. Averaging 2.39 kills per set, Woods also picked up 74 blocks to lead her team in that category. After an excellent season, Lilly Woods has been named Second Team All-Conference.
Phillips impressed in her freshman year, playing middle hitter and bringing a very consistent approach at the net both offensively and defensively. She impressed with 183 kills on 2.15 kills per set. Her attack percentage of .309 was second on the team as she turned heads in her freshman season. Phillips also tallied 67 blocks as her defense at the net matched her strong attacking. Following a great freshman season, Renee Phillips has been named RMAC Honorable Mention.
