LAKEWOOD, CO- Colorado Christian returned home post-Thanksgiving for a matchup against a good team from the South Central Region in Texas Permian-Basin. Led by a balanced effort throughout, the Cougars picked up a huge win by a final score of 84-76.
Regan LoConte was hot all night, scoring 16 points including four three pointers. Agnes Paul was strong in the paint, dropping 12 points and snagging seven rebounds for her team. Nicole Bowlin was seeing the court very well, facilitating her team with eight assists while Victoria Perez had seven assists.
The Cougars feasted off of the Falcons turnovers, scoring 24 points off of them. The boards were strong on the offensive end as well, as CCU tallied 20 second chance points. 35 points were poured in from the bench in an impressive display, while Colorado CHristian posted 32 points in the paint. Rebounds were in favor of the hosts 46-40, and the teams' field goal percentage was 38 percent on the night with 11 three-pointers.
The second half was the difference as the home team took over late with great passing and clutch shooting to go along with some defensive stops as they edged ahead and held the lead for a final score of 84-76 as the Cougars improved to 4-2 on the year as they head into conference play.
