GUNNISON, CO- The Cougars headed to Western Colorado for their fourth RMAC competition of the season on Saturday evening. The Mountaineers came away with the victory in a defensive battle by a final score of 52-39.

Makenna Bodette led her team with 15 points and five rebounds, while Victoria Perez tallied 10 points and three boards. Agnes Paul led inside with seven rebounds, and Perez and Maggie Hutka secured three. 

CCU had a total of 15 points off turnovers and posted 10 second chance points. The Cougars bench scored 18 points, and the team notched 11 fast break points. A tough shooting night ultimately did in Colorado Christian as WCU was able to pull away in the final two quarters for the victory.

The Cougars will be back in action on December 16 at 5 p.m. MST as they head to UCCS to take on the Mountain Lions in their fifth conference matchup.
