Southeastern Takes Series

DURANT, OK – Closing out their opening weekend, the Cougars took back-to-back losses on day two of the series at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Game three finished with a final score of 4-11, and the final in game score was 0-10.

GAME ONE – Following the pattern from the day before, the Cougars were the first to get on the board after scoring a pair of runs in the top of the second. Jordan Medina was the first to get on after he walked, and was brought home after a double from Andrew Lloyd. Josh Lang singled up the middle to bring Lloyd across the plate and put CCU up 2-0.

The Savage Storm tied up the game in the bottom of the fourth after a couple of Cougar errors, then took the lead in the fifth when they tallied on 4 more runs to seal the difference.

Colorado Christian shortened the lead in the sixth after Jordan Medina homered to left field, bringing home Wyatt Crenshaw who had walked right before. The effort wouldn't be enough as SEU took over in the bottom of the inning, adding 5 runs to put them ahead by 7. The seven-inning game was over and in favor of the Savage Storm, 4-11.

GAME TWO – The Cougars had 6 hits in the final game but were unable to capitalize and get a run. SEU stayed steady and tallied 10 runs on 12 hits to claim the series 3-1.

UP NEXT – Colorado Christian will be back in Oklahoma next weekend, facing the Rogers State Hillcats in Claremore for another four-game series on February 18th and 19th.
