CHADRON, NE- CCU hit the road for a Tuesday evening matchup at Chadron State. The Cougars battled hard throughout, but ultimately fell to the Eagles 88-76.
Isaiah Alonzo was a force to be reckoned with, scoring 19 points to go with a team high five rebounds. DJ McDonald and Jason Gallant also had big nights, scoring 17 each. McDonald dished out six assists on the night, while Gallant and Noah Kon had two assists respectively.
CCU had 30 points in the paint, and saw 15 points scored from their bench. Colorado Christian recorded nine points off turnovers and the same tally in second chance points. The Cougars shot 50.9% from the field overall on the night. A four point lead at the break from CCU turned into a 12 point deficit by the end as they fell 88-76.
Colorado Christian will be in action next at home as they take on Western Colorado on February 4 at 7 p.m. MST.
