Salt Lake City, UT – The Cougars hit the road for the first time in 2023 on Friday night to take on Westminster College in a conference showdown. The Griffins used a strong first half to build a lead which they held onto for the remainder of the game as the defeated CCU by a final score of 80-45.
Colorado Christian struggled to get any momentum going on the night as Westminster played tough defense and forced several turnovers from the Cougs.
DJ McDonald led the way for CCU in scoring as he tallied 11 points in the game on 5-13 shooting from the floor.
Maro Egodotaye had seven points, while
Christian St. Germain scored six points.
Colorado Christian will remain on the road for their next game tomorrow as they travel to Grand Junction to face off against Colorado Mesa University. Tip is scheduled for 7:30PM MST.
