DENVER, CO- The Cougars traveled to nearby MSU Denver for a pivotal RMAC matchup with the Roadrunners on Friday evening. Unfortunately, the hosts got a first half goal that held up in an eventual 1-0 defeat for CCU. 

The offensive pressure came early from Colorado Christian as Lucca Casci and Dylan Hall narrowly missed on a pair of attempts in the first 20 minutes. In the 27th, the Roadrunners broke through for a goal to claim the 1-0 advantage. Gabe Roloff and Ben Hess got off shots as they half wound to a close, but the hosts went to halftime with the one goal lead. 

Matthew Beaulieu and Casci got off early shots in the second half, but neither could find the back of the net. Avery Hipps then narrowly missed before Beaulieu forced a save in the 55th minute with a shot on goal. The two teams battled for control from there, and Zane Jacobson got off a late shot that missed wide left as the game ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Cougars. 

CCU will close their season at Stermole Stadium in Golden as they take on Colorado School of Mines on October 29 at 12 p.m. MST.
