CCU Fall to #10 Black Hills State

LAKEWOOD, CO- Colorado Christian returned home for their second to last game of the year on a freezing cold Wednesday night in Lakewood. Taking on #10 Black Hills State, the Cougars competed hard but were outlasted in the end 88-72 by a talented Yellow Jacket squad.

Jason Gallant had a strong night, tallying 20 points, three assists and three rebounds for his team. DJ McDonald chipped in 16 points with three assists, while Noah Kon had 12 points, three assists and three rebounds. Isaiah Alonzo led in boards with seven, followed by Shaylen Woodberry with five rebounds. Schafer Reichart had a strong game with six points, three steals, a block and a pair of rebounds.

CCU had 36 points in the paint in a strong performance down low, also posting four second chance points. They tallied 13 points off turnovers, and scored 18 off the bench. In the end, it was not a bad shooting night for the Cougars as they shot 46.7% from the field, but their opponent shot 54.1% to gain an advantage.
