WAIKALOA VILLAGE, HI- The defending national champions closed their fall season at the HPU Sharks Shootout at Waikaloa Beach Resort Golf October 25-26. The team made it a perfect fall as they shot 28 under par to claim their fifth victory in a row of the season and sixth straight dating back to the National Championship. Adam Duncan went -10 through the two rounds of play to claim his second individual title of the season.

ROUND ONE
Duncan was excellent in round one, sinking six birdies in a bogey free round to card a 64 on the par 70 course. Sangha Park came right behind him with a 65 as he registered six birdies as well. Bradley Mulder sunk four birdies on his way to a 67 while Sungyeop Cho had four birdies for a 68. Xavier Bighaus shot an even par 70 with three birdies on the day.

Peyton Jones competed as an individual and shot a 70 with two birdies and an eagle on the day. Camron Reddell fired a 74, while Ben Fowler carded a 77 as both players also competed as individuals.

ROUND TWO
Duncan continued his hot shooting in the second and final round, posting a birdie on half the holes he played with nine as he finished with a 66 to go -10 on the tournament and claim the victory. Park claimed second place as he shot a 68 on four birdies to finish seven strokes under par overall. Cho sank seven birdies in his final round to post a 67 as he tied for fourth place. Bighaus recorded five birdies on his way to a 67 and tie for 13th. Mulder closed with a 76 to tie for 41st.

Jones was stellar to finish the tournament, carding a 68 with four birdies to tie for 17th. Reddell fired three birdies to post a 69 and a tie for 41st, and Fowler shot a 70 on two birdies to tie for 71st.

As a team the Cougars went 28 strokes under par (264, 268) as they claimed the title by 12 strokes to finish off a perfect fall season. The Cougars have been simply unstoppable to start the season as they have continued the momentum from their National Championship last May by dominating at each tournament they have played in. With a win at all five tournaments this fall and four different individual winners, CCU is poised for a strong run in the Spring as they look to claim back-to-back National Titles.

The spring season will get going February 24-26 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California.
