PUEBLO, CO- The Cougars closed their four-game conference series at CSU Pueblo with a single matchup on Sunday. The hosts found some early offense that was enough as CCU ended up falling by a final score of 8-0.
The Thunderwolves found some early offense in the first and tacked on three runs to claim the lead.
Aaron Morgan singled and ended up at second in the third inning, but nothing came of it. The hosts homered for another run in the third, and they tallied four more in the fourth to take firm control.
The Cougars loaded the bases in the eighth with one out, but again could not manage to plate a run as they ultimately dropped the series finale by a final with an 8-0 final.
Colorado Christian return home April 19-21 for a four game set with MSU Denver, with first pitch on Friday slated for 3 p.m. MST.
