LAKEWOOD, CO- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their All-Region teams, and four Cougars landed themselves on the list for their excellent performances in outdoor track & field this season.
Matthew Storer garners All-Region honors in both the 5k and 10k after blazing his way to the upcoming National Championships in both events. With a time of 13:47.34 in the 5k at the Bryan Clay invitational, Storer sits at fifth in the country as he gets ready for Nationals. The junior ran another stellar time in the 10k at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invite, posting a 28:54.87 to earn himself the ninth best time in DII heading into Nationals. For his excellent efforts in these two events, Storer has been named All-Region in the 5k and 10k.
Hudson Majeski found a new gear in the 1500m this season, earning a spot at nationals in the competitive event for the second straight year. With a run of 3:43.16 at the CSU Pueblo Last Chance, Majeski earned the seventh fastest time in DII. For his blazing time in the 1500m, Hudson has earned a spot on the All-Region list.
Alex Vance was excellent in the 3000m steeplechase this season, booking himself a spot in nationals for the first time in the event. The Wisconsin native ran a time of 8:54.77 at the CSU pueblo Spank Blasing Invite to earn himself the 15th best time in the country. For his strong efforts in the 3000m steeplechase, Vance has been named to the All-Region List.
All three runners will compete at the NCAA Championships in Emporia, Kansas May 23-25 as they look to bring home national titles in four different events.
